This is a new photography based blog looking for members. At the moment, we can’t enable public submissions so anyone who wants to submit must become a staff member. Not everyone will be accepted. To apply, drop your URL in the answer box below. Make sure to have some pictures on the first few pages of your tumblr and/or provide a link to flickr or another photo managing site. All photography must be original. Photos will be judged on creativity and quality. By quality, we don’t mean resolution as much as we mean composition. An SLR does not make a photographer, so don’t be discouraged if you feel you don’t have a good enough camera. We would much rather have someone with artistic vision and a camera that doesn’t facilitate it than someone with a phenominal camera who can’t use it creatively.

Do not be afraid to apply. Just because we won’t accept just anything doesn’t mean we’re going to be too harsh. We aim to facilitate growth, not to pick you apart. If you have a true aspiration to be a photographer, this is the place for you. Even if you doubt yourself, don’t feel discouraged. We’re friendly people who want to help you learn and make some friends on the way. As I write this right now, I know I have a lot to learn. I do not expect any more from anyone else. I want this to be a tool for people to learn and make friends, not a place to be constantly criticized. While we do aim to offer constructive criticism and advice, we are not a pretentious community.

I personally encourage all of you to drop your url in the answer box and give this a chance. This is a blog starting off completely from scratch, so unlike the more established photography community blogs, we’ll all have a real opportunity to get to know eachother. I am hoping this will evolve into a place for quality photography, as well as support for photographers.
